EASTER EGG - ATTEMPT 1

Quilling Egg was my on To-Do List for a long while and now the perfect time has come. I'm really happy that I could complete this work within Easter. Here in Chennai I couldn't find proper Egg moulds so I tried using Kinder Joy Chocolate moulds.

As everyone know Inna has amazing quilled easter eggs on her blog. So I used her Egg design as an inspiration to first try it out. I went on making this as per her explanations. To my surprise it came out pretty well. But the edges had some glue dried so in order to hide it I painted the corners. In person it looks pretty good. But in camera it doesn't seem that good.

May be in the next try I would try to do a clean work :P

       HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!!!

Quilled Daisies - Second Attempt

Ever since I started quilling I am always in love with Quilled flowers. So when my friend came up with an order for quilled frame, Daisies came across my mind since my Pinterest board contains many Daisy versions.

Here I have used handmade paper as my background and have distressed the centre card using Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wild honey. Hope you like it.

The pic to the left inspired me for this work

And this is the comparison of my 2 attempts in Quilling Daisies.
The pic to the right was done one year back.

Quilled MOM and BABY PANDA

This is my first post of this year..Happy New year everyone.. Hope this year turned out so well. Coming to my post, I came across Neli's teddy cards and so was inspired by it :) So I did 3d miniature quilling. Also Xiao Je posted a tutorial for the same in quilling group. So it was helpful too :)

Mom panda/teddy bear is 4.5 cm in height and the little one is 3 cms. The height of the whole miniature is 12 cms. The tree trunk was made using white paper and later painted it with Brown acrylic paint to give a natural touch instead of using brown paper.

Ya I have placed it on our car's dashboard.. Isn't it awesome??!!... Share your thoughts and comments on this work. It really means a lot to me. Thanks for the tutorial once again Xiao :)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend :)
